That I heard too.
What about tonight? Did anyone hear from their kid after Shabbos?

I finally did.
Staff who had no say in any of the decisions but are left to pick up the pieces have been working their brains out to make the most of it for the girl who stayed. They are making a difference ! That said , things are looking up but still feeling very shaky.
The girls did have to be troopers to a degree …. Urinals in place of many toilets etc. Also, they are concerned about why there are still issues procuring ample food for everyone who is supposed to be there.

After the public letter indicating that the parents who took their kids home voluntarily made a big mistake , it turned out to be the camps saving grace this shabbos. Had the girls stayed , there would NOT have been enough resources such as food or beds.

Again total lashon hara. Plus perlstein has been in this business for a while. He gets things done. For what purpose would he buy a hotel that’s a dump and only has space for 200? It logically makes
No sense to do that

Are you really that naive? He didn’t buy the hotel now he bought it by Covid when people needed places to go and he used it then. Now it’s empty in disrepair and uninhabitable, as you can see the health department made them leave.

Let’s get the fact straight.

Camp malka staff came up to their new campus on Tuesday. They called home to say there are no bathrooms and very few bunkhouses. The parents were not going to send their girls up they were going to leave them home. Remember this was Tuesday a day before the girls were supposed to leave.

Perlstein then offers Rabbi Hiller to rent out his hotel that has maximum occupancy for 200 people and he promises to brings down bunk beds and fit 800 girls plus staff. Besides not being big enough the place is empty and in disrepair.

Rabbi Hiller gives perlstein the money and is excited he can actually start camp. Now the girls come and the conditions are awful. Very few rooms have air conditioning and zero food. Parents of the girls, out of their own generosity shipped down food. The camp supplied zero food.

Now girls are calling home crying and mothers turn to whatsapp to vent and the truth comes out how awful the living conditions are and now the girls come Home.

So instead of blaming Rabbi Hiller that either he should have cancelled camp or rented two places let’s blame whatsapp that the truth came out and now they weren’t able to abuse these girls in silence.

The hotel is up and running and available for bookings on Expedia. Don’t make up facts.

My daughter was at camp malka and had a disastrous experience. I have only gratitude towards rabbi Perlstein for his involvement.

Wouldn’t you have rather that camp was cancelled before she left and you find alternate plans and she didn’t go through this ordeal.

The same way there is already three pop up options for these girls the options would have started last week.

What was the point in putting them in a hotel they couldn’t fit into and making sleep on the floor of the lobby?

The fire department and police made them leave because they were above occupancy and the bunk beds and duffel bags were a fire hazard. STOP MAKING UP FACTS!

You don't know the half of it with Hiller. He is a mesarev who ignored the beis din. The Shulchan Aruch poskens we are required to publicize against him. The judge also threatened to jail him a 2nd time if he pulls anymore stunts like suing the Bais Yaakov from another court or barging into the office to bark orders at the staff when he is banned from the premises.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=td4Bp1fK04w

This Hiller video says a lot but is not as eyepopping as the one that the heimishe fixers got a major news network to remove from their website. In that one he was rolling around in the filthy dirt - in zein langeh reckel - outside the court building. When reporters asked his attorney for an explanation he said "the rabbi is having a very hard time coming to grips with the fact that he is going to prison"(!)

He further didn't pay the contractors who built the Bais Yaakov, pocketed the money, after a Lawrence gvir gave him $10 million to cover the costs. He also swindled Banco Popular out of the mortgage loan.

There is also a government website about him getting in trouble in Upstate NY for pumping the camp sewage on to his neighbor. What a role model for our Yiddishe maydelach!

And are any of his sons involved in the camp? Newspaper reports have the details on one of them arrested for shoplifting at the 5 Towns Costco AND AGAIN at the Walmart!
