I applied to 7 chassidische type schools.
Two already told me no place and no application accepted.
I have 5 with applications sent.

What are my next steps? Who do I get involved ? I paid a bloody fortune to get my son into cheider and really can’t afford to pay again for my daughter next year.

Any advice ?

No advice, but I hope your daughter gets into one of them easily and speedily.

Have people who send to the schools call on behalf of you, it’s usually the best pull. Also call the schools yourself to follow up.

So I obviously call all the schools again to make sure my name is heard. Is there a vaad or something similar?
I cannot believe I’m in this position again. I paid over 75k to get my son in

You paid 75k?
Im sorry to say, schools talk to each other and they might be expecting it again.

There is a Vaad. They help get kids into schools for primary. Not necessarily Chassidishe schools but schools.
The ads will be in the BP soon, telling you how to contact them.

It takes time. They try by the beginning of school but not always.

Hi op. First of all hugs the system is horrible.

The problem is that most of the chassidish schools start from nursery or kindergarten, so accepting primary kids is not their focus. You really need to find pull and have ppl keep calling for you and putting lots of pressure.

Another issue is the schools all talk to each other and if they hear you paid so much money for your son they may try to get the same. Yes there is technically a vaad but they only help later on.

Is there any schools that are not so chassidish but have chassidish parents that would be an option for you?

The next step is to have people call on your behalf
, your rav, anyone you know who sends to the school, anyone influential you know

75k is very unusually high to get into a school. I have heard people giving 5k. I heard a few people giving 25k and never heard higher than that. we were asked to bribe our way into a school and said no thanks and went elsewhere. If you paid such a high amount I agree the girls schools will expect something too most likely….

Plenty of ppl pay in the chassidish world. Maybe not all at once, maybe over a few years. Unfortunately in the popular chassisdish and heimish schools slots are so limited that it became a bidding war almost. Obviously not everyone does, but the ones that didn’t usually had major pull/connections/right last name etc , or they are in kollel

I will add, that if you don’t want to pay, and you wait, you will prob get in right before school starts without paying but it takes a lot of nerves and is not for the faint of heart (speaking from experience)

It’s a bit complicated. We came from Boro park settled with cheiders and schools. After I week we pulled our son since it was a disaster the cheider he was in. WE DO NOT HAVE 75k to pay. We are paying it slowly but we begged cried basically sold our soul to get him into a place.

I was dealing with the death of a parent and couldn’t deal with it anymore. So yes we are paying 75k.

My daughter is in a private kindergarten because last year she was accepted at a place that canceled the class in the summer.

They cancelled the kindergarten, but they didn't give you any guarantee or priority for primary?

I have tried
Bnos bina
Tiferes chaya
Bnos hadassa
Bais hachinuch
Bais rochel
Bais brocho
Klauzenburg.

Belz won’t accept me since I drive ( we are both sides Belz with very very good pull but we are being spit on because of my driving)

Anyone else you can suggest I should call?

It doesn't look like she applied to Bnos Penina.
I would apply there and bring the application in person, remind them that they cancelled the kindergarten and left you scrambling.
