Anyone else wishes to have the poster history?
Did you start posting with your screen name more since it was removed?
I really miss this feature. I liked getting to know a poster I didn't recognize. Also, if someone wrote something controversial looking back at their posts usually provided context.
Thoughts?
ETA: Please try to use your username when responding here. Otherwise it feels a little hypocritical to say I want to see who you are but I'm not telling you who I am

Absolutely. Every now and then I come across a poster who is super intelligent, thoughtful, funny, or very interesting. I used to be able to look at her history and appreciate her previous posts. Now I can't.

I'm not sure, but what about if a person can set it in their profile. It might be too complicated, but if someone can't search their history, it might make them more inclined to post under username.

I like it this way, with no poster history available. I'm more comfortable sharing more under my screen name without worrying that my life is now at everyone's fingertips.
Also, I don't see a reason for going back to previous posts to figure out why a poster has a certain opinion of something. Everyone is justified in believing or thinking the way they do without having to explain themselves for it. It's silly to go back and search for the reason why anyone thinks the way they do. Besides, you can always ask if it really bugs you.

No, because years ago, I used to figure out who people were by looking back at their history.

I voted unsure. I do miss the fearure a lot! But it does feel more anonymous to not have all your own posts linked together and readable as one big story.

Reading poster history is a bit like detective work. People don't realize how many clues they drop spread across many posts.

I don’t think so. Even with myself I used to find I could get nosy.
I do wish the advanced search allowed us to search our own history.
Like if I posted a cookie recipe years ago I’d like do an advanced search but only in my username posts.

How about history is limited to 6 mos or a year, would that make a difference?

It just hurts the posters who use their screen name. I rarely do, but would probably never do of poster history came back.
People connect dots. She's a physical therapist + she's nursing + she lives in Boro Park + that sounds like how she talks!

The past few months I took the liberty to post under my screen name knowing that this feature of looking up a poster's history was stopped.
Please do not bring it back.

For a frequent poster who usually doesn't use amother? Not really.

I get why it was removed. too easy to stalk. however I do wish we could see our own post history including our anonymous posts! that would be awesome and don’t get why that would be a problem.

I see no value in the feature and glad it was removed.
No reason anyone needs to research a poster, this way is much more private and respectful.

Posters were being doxxed because of self-appointed detectives who fished through pages of posts for clues
Posters were being treated snarkily because of other past posts they made
It made people feel very unsafe posting under their sn

People who post as another all the time shouldn't get a vote on this.

I post much more under my screen name knowing that noone can look back through my history and connect my dots!
Would be useful to be able to see my own anonymous posts though.
