Do people write thank-you notes to those who hosted them for meals over the Chagim?

Just curious. No judgement either way, just trying to figure out if this is a thing people do.

I never have. I usually thank the hostess at the time I'm being invited, and again before we leave.

No. You bring a gift with you and say thank you with your mouth when you leave. It’s very unnecessary and I hope no one starts the trend of adding more tasks and pressures to our already crazy busy lives.

I host for meals & have never received a thank you note. People express their appreciation at the meal.

sometimes follow with a text to thank again but nothing more than that is expected.

Thank you notes seem to have gone the way of the manual typewriter. That said, it wouldn't be incorrect to send one. Which reminds me, I have a note or two to send for other nice things that people did for me over YT.

There's nothing wrong with sending a thank you text if you enjoyed their invitation!
If it feels right to you, do it!!!
(Don't care too much about "what's done" it's becoming a little much!)
