I've been up since what I think was 4 AM. The clock in the bedroom didn't change so that's what I'm going with.

My toddler has been up since 6 AM.

It feels like afternoon and I'm seriously contemplating a second cup of coffee.

Send help.

Sending hugs! lol I know what that’s like it’s brutal! Last night pushed bedtime back by an hr- kept kids up for baths and havdala and also helped that they didn’t end up napping at all over shabbos so 3yo slept from 8p-7:30ish and 12mo old was up multiple times overnight cuz of teething…

My kid woke me up at 715. I got annoyed because on Sunday I get to sleep until 810 but then I remembered it was really 815. I think they were up since 6 though and they went to bed at 830/9.

I tried putting the kids to sleep late on Friday night and last night as well. It didn’t work. 2 year old was up at 6:30 and preschooler at 6:45.
It could’ve been worse I know.

Indeed I can, but emotionally I find it harder. When my kids were little, at least I could tell myself it'll end, but now... Sad
But yes, those years were very hard. Tried putting them to sleep later, but not only did they STILL wake up early, they were overtired and cranky as well.
One yom tov morning, it was quiet. Woke up at 10am wondering if they were even alive. Went downstairs to find my mil playing with them, having dressed them and given them breakfast. I was so grateful and told her so. But she was so nice and said 'you've given me such a wonderful yom tov, the least I can do is look after these adorable children so you can rest!'

At the time, it was eye-opening to me that there are people who actually enjoyed getting up early for kids. I was so exhausted, and in to much of a haze to enjoy my kids. You can be sure I asked her again!!! And I love it now that my preteen enjoys waking early** to look after my grandkids while their parents sleep.

**until she becomes a real teen and sleeps till 2PM lol.

I love the winter clock.

We woke up 7 and had two hours before my son had to go to the bus.

Much better this way.

Earlier bed time, earlier wake time.

5 but that’s not unusual for us. We’re early to bed early to rise people, me and my 3 yr old. The older ones and my husband slept till about 7. 4 yr old up at maybe 5:30-6. I expected an early wake up so I took melatonin and was asleep at 9 pm.

My toddler woke up at 4:50 after falling asleep 9:30. Needless to say it was a rough morning. We are both currently going back to sleep.
