Age 6 - I want her to be somewhat modest. Nightgown? Pajamas? We live in a small apartment and she shares a room with her brothers (ages 10 and below) so I'm starting to feel like it's important to do this right. Any links to suitable, nice things?

She shares a room with a 10-year-old brother?
Two-piece pjs or a nightgown with leggings. Nightgowns slide up during the night and defeat the whole purpose of being tzniusdik.

Like the other said if wearing a nightgown if must be with pants.
It really depends on your hashkofos, I think at that age it's still ok to wearing loose pajamas. Something that sits nicely or a bit big on them.
My DD7 we just got her her first nightgown with pants but she is also wearing pajamas. It was great though to have for when we had to go to the Miklat for a siren and she was comfortable going in that, I think PJs she wouldn't have been. All the girls were wearing them.

Depends on your type. I see no issue with girls wearing pajama pants around their brothers.

My daughter likes nightgowns, but they definitely go up while she sleeps, so if she was sharing a room with a brother I would have her wear some sort of pants under.
Depends on what your boys are exposed to on whether a pajama set with shirt and pants is still ok- if girls are still wearing pants till age 5 in your community, 6 year old sister wearing pajama pants is fine (I would say till 7 or 8). If they switch to skirts at 3, she should probably have a nightgown and pants.

My kids wear skirts and long sleeve around 3 - 4. we finish the season in their 2 yo clothes that season. Then buy more tznius for the coming season, over time transitioning to coverer elbow and tights.
Just for reference.
My girls still wear pajamas at 11 and 9.
When I buy, I like buying night shirts that come donw until mid calf or the knee and aren't fitted. But she still wears her hansmedowns from my much older niece.
Thing is though, they do not share a room with their brother.
For context, I slept in below knee/knee length short sleeve nigh shirts always. Unless I went for a sleepover to someone else's house. Then I had 1 or 2 nightgowns. I have one older brother that was a way at yeshivah a lot when I was already a teen. As a preteen it drove him CRAZY. Lol. What bothered him were that Mt legs were uncovered. Cuz he knew they were supposed to be. He didn't chap that it's also short, cut out, and above elbow. .I remember my father tilling him if it bothers him, he can just look somewhere else. 😏 😆
I would not get those for my kids though.
Satmar chassidish. (I don't think my experience was the norm though)

There have also been pedophiles and kids being molested for thousands of years- these are different times.

Our apartment is tiny, the room is somewhat divided - her bed is very far away and high up, they don't go to sleep at the same time, they get changed in the bathroom, there are other younger kids in the room, and they're never alone at home. I honestly don't think it's any more of an issue than separate rooms next to each other at this point. If chas v'shalom there was an issue separate rooms wouldn't prevent it.

My teen girls wear pj's. I think it's more tzenuis then a nightgown. A 6 wear old is a little kid, she can definitely wear pj's.

Just wondering , what is the norm for yeshivish homes at which ages? Like what is the most tznius standard people have for each age group? When do you switch?
also it seems like adding leggings to a nightgown is considered more tznius but isn’t there a thing against leggings in general like wearing them instead of tights under a skirt? So wouldn’t you not want to introduce them to girls?

My 3 yr old wears a nightgown with pajama pants underneath. When it's really cold, she wears pjs with a pull-on very wide comfortable stretch skirt on top.
My teens wear long slinky lycra skirts with comfortable t-shirts on top.
They change when they decide they want to. Seems to be about age 12.

Curious, for those saying 10 yo boy is too old to share a room with a sister - what about a 10 yo girl?
My 3 kids all sleep in the same room - 10 and 4 yo girl and 7.5 yo boy.
Regarding PJs, they wear whatever they are comfortable in - tonight my 10 yo is wearing short sleeves and shorts, and my 4 yo is wearing a fleece sleeper. Son is wearing pj pants and undershirt.
