My 12th grade son is, bli ayin hara, very very bright- an illuy in gemara.
His rebbeim are basically telling us that they don't know what to do with him because he is surpassed what they are able to provide. The current solution is for him to learn with a kollel yungerman who can stimulate him.
We are looking for a mesivta that has a bais medrash where he won't be the only bochur learning advanced level Gemara.
For reference, his brothers are in Peekskill, Riverdale, Pragers.

When a boy is that much more advanced than his grade it is great to learn with an older man. My son had that and those were his best experiences. He was always bored and under stimulated even in his "top tier" yeshiva.

lol this was my son. He’s in third year Bais Medrash at Chemdas Hatorah now (Pruzansky). Maybe they can be chavrusos and outlearn each other 😛.

I was going to suggest this. My son is there as well - mesivta, not bais medrash.

Rabbi lieff's, South monsey. The geniuses there are practically tripping over each other.

Me three, my son is B"H doing very well there. I'm not going to brag about him but he is a baal kishron. He is very serious about his leaning and spent a lot of his bein hazmanim in the Beis Medrash, B"H he has a great Bein Hazmanim chavrusa and also learns on his own.

Thank you! Where is pruzansky's?
He's pretty yeshivish, but prefers not lakewood.
We considered R Lieff, but while we haven't ruled it out, we're looking for other ideas.

I don't believe Imamother is the best place to find a yeshiva for this type of boys!

P.s: I'm looking for this type of boy, my 21 yr old dd needs a shidduch!

Are you implying that imamothers don’t have smart sons?

I agree with that poster mainly because everyone has their own experience of what smart is and what yeshivish is.

Op, I would consider that you strongly look into Lakewood. Not because Lakewood is smarter or anything. But simply the sheer number of boys make it easier to find similar capabilities.
Id look into Pruzanskys, Keren Hatorah, Lakewood Mesivta, Slomowitz.

Possibly South Fallsburg has what you're looking for.

Just another comment. That I'm finding 12th grade to be a weird year. A lot of boys who aren't so settled or happy will skip 12th and go straight to Bais Medrash. It could be that you don't need a place with a mesivta.

Maybe reach out to Binyomin Strauss. His number should be somewhere here on this site.

Slomowitz, Keren, Mintz, Lakewood Mesivta.
These are Lakewood mesivtas. I know Slomowitz admits 12th graders and has dorm options for that grade.

R Mottel d!ck, Patterson, South Fallsburg - beis medresh. No idea if they allow you skip 12th. I would imagine that depends on how advanced your son is relative to the most advanced boys.

I would find it hard to believe that in all of these he cant find a chavrusa!

His current rebbeim have no recommendations?

I’m in the same boat as you looking for a bais medrash for my son.

But Peekskill is on a much lower level in learning and riverdale isn’t either a metzuyan level.

What I’m being told is either Patterson or rav motel d!ck did you ever look into those options.
