I'm hoping someone can give me an idea. I have a lot of contacts & know quite alot of people. I'm always getting calls like do you know of someone that can do customized invitations or do you know someone that does vouchers or do you know someone who does newborn photography.
I wish I can become sort of like a shadchan and do this officially as a job. Anyone have any ideas of such a job and what it's called and what you can charge?
I could really use some side hustle

Honestly, if I would be looking for a newborn photographer, I wouldn't expect to pay someone for a reference. I wouldn't call a service where I need to pay, to refer me to someone I need to pay.....
But good luck to you!

Sounds like you are talking about a referral service. But I can't imagine someone paying for such a service when there are many ways to ask around for free.

However maybe what you are really looking to do is advertise. Like if you had a website for various referalls, and the service providers would be paying you to advertise their services.

People often ask me all sorts of question like that, I'm happy to help!
I think the only area that people will pay is for something like a wedding coordinator.

If someone is accepting payment for referring specific companies, I wouldn't exactly trust the recommendations.

So funny because people are always asking me for ideas and advice on all kinds of random things. I have often had the thought that if only there was a way to monetize on this, especially considering I spend significant time helping people this way.

In the not frum world there is a wedding planner who helps from a to z with the wedding meaning choosing a party planner , food tastings, outfit choice , hotel for guests and honeymoon planning. Maybe people in our world would want someone to hold their hand like that- meet the florist , the Sheitel macher , set up the apartment for the couple and all the other stuff

The way to monetize would be a referral credit from the business you are suggesting

But it’s unethical to make suggestions without disclosing you get a commission, keep that in mind

You would have to have an agreement with the vendors you are recommending to pay you commission.

It's called affiliate marketing. Not unethical or illegal if you disclose.

There’s also concierge services which don’t do just the referral, but also the booking.

Once you start with commission your referral loses value.
I, and most people, don't trust any influencer on social media. Why? Because they're getting paid. And they're only promoting a product/business that pays them. That doesn't mean the product/business isn't good but there could be others you would refer that are equally as good but you'll refer to the one paying you.

Amazon affiliate links are different though. Because there’s such a variety on Amazon an affiliate will only choose the products they personally love. Plus, Amazon affiliates barely make anything if someone buys through their link, so they have little to gain and a lot to loose if they recommend a subpar product.

I do think there is a difference if the product is sold by Amazon vs another seller.
Regardless, op isn't talking about Amazon
