I might if I'd know what the rules are.
Can you share a daily menu?

It’s basically extremely low carb, moderate protein and high fat.
Best would probably be to buy a book explaining it.

I like the book simply keto by Suzanne Ryan.
It explains it very well and has good recipes to try

I do NSNG which is a ketogenic way of eating.
The "rules" are simple. NSNG stands for No Sugar (real or fake), No Grains and includes No Potatoes and No Corn.
Thats how I started changing my way of eating. I don't diet, I just eat this way only. It's a way of life.

What about fruits and vegetables?

When I started NSNG, I ate fruits and veggies. As I got into it and learned more, I cut out most fruits (berries and cherries are fine), and carby veggies. I focus on proteins and fats. I do eat veggies, but they are not a priority.

I can follow this.
I'm not good with books and loads of rules.
One major question. Any form of chocolate allowed?
Also how much did you lose on this and how long did it take you?

Also what is the difference from atkins and keto? | Its basically the same. Atkins has several stages where you gradually reintroduce specific types of carbs. It’s very helpful follow it so you don’t immediately gain back everything.

I’ve done keto twice. I do it together with 16/8 IF which helps bring you into ketosis faster, so only the first 3/4 days are hard. Afterwards I literally had to remember to eat. I’m a breakfast skipper anyway, so I found not eating from 8 to 12 (sometimes 7 to 11) to be easy after a few days.
I recently lost 12 pounds in around 6 weeks. First few days you lose tons because it’s water weight, after about a week or two it slows down to about a pound a week. That’s not different than other diets, but I love the feeling of shedding 5 lbs in a few days, it gives me a boost to continue. Just know to expect it to slow down.
Afterwards, I stayed 8/16 IF and just eating very clean, leaning low carb low cal but never hungry, lost about another 8 lbs over 2 months.
Also very important, make sure to take a prenatal religiously. Folic acid and other vitamins are found in enriched flour, and your body isn’t getting any of it. It can mess up your levels for quite a while after you finished dieting.

I’m desperate to start this again.
I feel so sluggish and tired from all the duvet and carbs I’ve been eating.
Help with easy ideas please.
So far I do.
Fried eggs on avocado for brunch
Salad with a protein for dinner
Carrots for snacks but I need more snacking foods till I get used to it.

So I plan to make some keto cookies/muffins out of almond and coconut flour.
You should buy Suzanne Ryan’s book or Google keto cookie recipes . I can let you know how they come out.
I also bought a keto choc cake mix on Amazon that I hope will be decent

Oh! I also bought the Junp powder from my local health food store. It has no calories and supposedly helps prevent keto flu…
Any idea how I know I’m in ketosis?
