Like let's say Switzerland or the Smoky Mountains, Tennessee?
Because honestly it should be there on top with the others.
We traveled up from Monsey to Canada and I'm honestly embarrassed that I never knew or realized the beauty of my own home state. Do people even know how breathtaking the Adirondack Mountains are. Seasoned travelers?
Im still in awe. I was surrounded by mountains and mountains of every single fall color against a blue sky, with streams and ponds below, a house here and there. It resembled Switzerland but with colored mountains. The ausable chasm is breathtaking.
Maybe I was just unaware. So a heads up for people in tri-state area who can't travel too far or looking for sightseeing getaways for cheap. The Adirondack Mountains in the fall are priceless! There's kosher food in Albany, I believe in Saratoga, Lake George and Plattsburgh too.

Hunter mountain is known as the Switzerland of NY. So I’m sure plenty people know. Maybe not that many Frum people to whom upstate ends at the Catskills. We used to spend summers in fleischmanns, and hunter when I was a kid and the fresh air and scenery is incomparable to the Catskills.

Nah, let's keep it quiet. We take a short road trip almost every Fall season and I love the beauty and peaceful quiet. It's better this way than being overrun by tourists.

I live in Lakewood and I have a stunning forest in my backyard ( I wonder for how much longer  ) these days it’s magnificent. We walked in it today and I was blown away. Hashem gave us a stunning world. Fall is stunning.

This chol hamoad husband and I took the kids to an apple orchard in Warwick NY- not even THAT far. (Yes we asked a shaila and were told that apple picking is allowed as a chol hamoad outing.)
We passed beautiful winding roads, green pastures, quaint cottages, farms, we encountered horses and cattle, here and there we came across vintage vehicles and shops. And yes the fall foliage enveloping the narrow road from both sides. I told dh we don’t appreciate enough what our own state has to offer. New York is beautiful with so much variety.

We recently stayed in fleishmanns ny and it truly felt like we were in the most gorgeous place ever. We took hikes were the scenery and views looked like it was from a painting.
Most ppl think the photos are heavily edited the views are so clear and stunning.

Yes, I know it well spent summers upstate went to Sternberg right by the Adirondacks. I love it upstate it's so pretty and you clearly see how only Hashem could create such an artistic world.
I visit a nature spot at least three times a week it's so beautiful and calming puts life in perspective.
I never understood why millionaires by huge penthouses in the city when they can buy tons of land upstate and see this gorgeous world.
