My dd has a round trip ticket to see a friend. The airline just rescheduled her return flight and the new flight lands one hour before Shabbos. It definitely won't be possible to get home in time.
They're offering a refund but what good does that do at this point? Even if she could find a different flight all of the flights now cost 4x what she paid.
Has anyone been in this situation? Is there anything we can do?

Demand that they rebook her on an earlier flight for no extra fee or price difference.

Contact them and say that flight isn't possible for religious reasons. Please book the replacement flight before x or after y.

Whatever you do, don’t even consider for a second the possibility that she’ll get on that flight.

It’s early enough in the week that you can keep calling and speak to every supervisor and demand she be put on an earlier flight or one after Shabbos. Do not accept this rescheduling and do not accept a refund. You booked a flight that worked, they rescheduled, they need to accommodate. Also it sounds like she’s 1 ticket so should be easier. I had a connecting flight that I missed due to a delay in our origin flight, they rebooked on a flight that was landing too close to Shabbos we said absolutely not they made us go speak to a supervisor at the airport who managed to rebook us on an earlier flight. (We were 2).
