My husband told me to hit 7x. We always just used the same bundle as our father, growing up.
My little kids watched in fascination and asked why I'm doing this, I had no answer. Anyone have more info on why we klap hoshanos?

Unfortunately, it always reminds me of a traditional Scottish dance, called Strip the Willow.

Growing up we each got our own bundle. My husband’s family they all share so that’s what my children and I do now.

I always did but didn't have much of a context till I started to go to shul on Hoshana Rabba.
