Many latge companies in lakewood have a trip for all their staffs kids . Some during midwinter..some during peseach or summer vacation
Schools don't exactly have the budget. So an outside organization organized.
I don't get the outrage
Pm me if u want to know which companies do this. You can get a job there and have a free trip for your kids also

There are options
Rich roberts had his annual free carnival for everyone in lkwd. It’s amazing.
Keansburg was $20/person. Only riders needed to pay organized by purchei
Chuny Herzka sponsored a free simchas beis hashoeiva with great singers in lkwd for yeshiva bachrim. It seemed like at least 2000 attended. Nice for those who couldn’t spend on a concert ticket.
Many very large companies do sponsor chol hamoed activities for their employees.
I think here the yeshivas had to cover part of the cost. A organization made it possible for the schools to do this. Should yeshivas pay for random accountants to go?

Regarding your last paragraph- where do u think the yeshivos got the money from? It's tuition money from the working parents who could never dream of doing such a trip
Yeshivas part of chasdei lev need to have a line item in their budget to cover the costs. And that gets calculated when figuring out their overall costs and how to divide that up per student and what the tuition charge is.
It may be a drop on the bucket of their budget but we should NOT take away from the fact that ultimately tuition and working parents are funding a portion of chasdei lev. When our chol hamoed outings were the library and park.

Our school is one of the cheaper sides and they participated in this. Our school is known to be non political and very honest. And being nice to staff. I'm happy for them.

Or, their husbands can become Rebbes. If it's that important to them to get a subsidised chol hamoed trip what's stopping them...

This issue has nothing to do with the schools. But their is a need for more. My kids were happy with Robert's carnival until about 7/8 then they get board of it. Roberts carnival is amazing and I usually push the age a little older than that. Its fine if its not the main chol homed trip. My boys are very active boys. They don't enjoy watching shows or listening to story telling. Since we gone to free township events they are board of the vehicles The animals is boring already and so on. They have done Keansburg. But really want to go to six flags, Dorney park, or hershy park. With the big roller costers-you can't compare and those are quite expensive we can't afford it. Their is also the jealousy feeling. My older ones tell us that their friend travel on overnight trips. Traveling to different states. Some kids go to Florida or Israel. We never could afford. Their feelings realy comes from wanting to do more then what we do. I think their is a need for more fun activities targeting older kids.
*concerts for Bocherim is nice but it's the one time of year they could spend time with their family, a shared family fun activity.

Simchas Torah was hard
I really teared up when they were singing Ashrei mi she amul ba Torah.... miss those kollel years. Now listening to Chasdei Lev songs, trying to reframe and remember this is toiling in Torah, this is creating worlds
But definitely wasn't a help that I wrote that whole post before 2nd days, because really it does not make sense financially or for the amount of time shared from family for husband to be a rebbi.

Schools have to majorly chip in towards what their teachers get. Where do you think the money is coming from?

Nope. 10$ a ticket. Under 3 free. They also limited the amount of tickets per family. I think 12 was the limit.

Which organisation is that? I've never heard of the that and I'm we're dealing with family member that has heavy duty mental health issues.

You’re tuition wouldn’t be cheeper if your child’s Rebbes didn’t get chasdei Lev.
My husband's school participates in Chasdei Lev, while my children's school does not. My children's school's tuition is higher than what my husband's school charges.

1. It's to make up for the relatively low salary. Many rebbeim are teaching for idealistic reasons and could theoretically be making more money at a regular full time job rather than working till 2 pm and scrambling for other opportunities before prep time, family time, and night seder. A higher salary would cost the school much much more because...
2. The school pays a low rate to be part of cl and then contributes for certain things. My understanding is that the school did not pay at all for this trip, certainly not per Rebbe/person that was attending. They did chip in for the big grocery distribution, but that was also not free for rebbeim.
