I doubt you could make anything substantial on it. There are actually rules about how much can charge and it’s not that much. You also have to pay to become a notary.

The pay is minimal and I doubt there is that much need for it that you could make decent money. Unless you are hired by a law firm or someplace that constantly needs things notarized.

As a notary you can charge $2 per notarization per person. It's not a good job at all

It's something to add on to an existing business. Or something looked at as a plus when taking a job. It doesn't provide income.

You can only charge $3 per certification. You go for it as an accessory for you job. Not as a stand-alone income

you can charge more if you travel. sometimes the person has several signatures to notarize and you can charge for each one. but yes, it's good to add to your resume, not as a full time job

Hi, you can become a notary and work for an online platform that does remote notary services. For example Blue Notary or Adobe notary. They charge around $25 per session + small fee for each additional document (people usually have several documents. It could possibly be a great part time job depending on how much the notary gets.
