The book about how authors and illustrators create books...
They show it as of they're writing a cartoon book about Jack and the beanstalk...
Kind of doreen cronin style illustration...
I think the author and illustrator characters in the book have a dog/cat...

FOUND IT!!!!
I searched for a different book I remembered by what I thought might have been same author:
"Cute book for kids about election process"... And the book came up!!! So I searched the author name... Eileen christelow. Shes author illustrator of five little monkeys series.
For all those who are curious about the books (and they are cute books, and IIRC, nothing inappropriate)
