Is this normal ? Anyone else had this?
She is occasionally cranky and daily complaining her stomach bothers her (she can't differentiate pain from nausea so hard to figure out ) . It's very on and off a few days good so I think its gone but keeps coming back. Limiting dairy sugar etc nothing makes a difference.
The vomiting is usually evening/night (could be around the house not necessarily in bed yet) and causing her to wake up at night, the diarrhea every day anytime.
Doc ran some tests that came back OK
Any ideas ? Getting very worried here!

Have you taken your child to a gastroenterologist?
They could do more tests for additional things.

Did you check for allergies? You can try a blood test first and then follow up with an allergist if there is anything that comes up

Please get your child in ASAP to a Gastroenterologist.
I'm not sure what else , I'm sure others will weigh in

Look here for ideas of tests

Not normal at all. Go to a GI.
I once had this and strongly suspected celiac (It’s in my fam) bh wasn’t that, was a freak virus

Dd 2 had it, we went off dairy completely for 2 weeks and then under Dr guidance slowly tried again, milk was the last item to try.
It cleared up BH.

My almost 2 year old has also been having awful diapers and what seems like stomachaches since starting playgroup a few weeks ago. I didn't think twice about it but now you're all getting me nervous.

I had that from an allergy to corn. It can also be celiac. GI Dr needs to check it, but if everything comes back ok, I'd suggest trying to eliminate foods based on what patterns you see. Like from the food DC had the day before choose one, more likely than others, food to eliminate for two weeks to see if there's a change. You'll to keep a diary. Not easy, but highly effective. I'm so sorry you're going through this. And also for baby. If it's what I have, this is most likely not dangerous, only extremely uncomfortable and debilitating

Another vote that it might be celiac. The reg pediatrician can give you a script for the blood work. If it comes back positive then you will go to a GI and repeat blood work, do endoscopy to be sure….
Good luck!

When you say limit food groups, does that mean go off completely or just less of? It sounds like lactose intolerance to me

I assume the PCP ran celiac labs which were normal. I agree with getting her seen by GI. This could be any number of things and warrants further testing.

I would see GI before starting an elimination diet

It wasn't so clear so wanted to clarify.

Also, I assuming you're taking about a sensitivity rather than an allergy to corn? Allergies can be easily ruled out with testing. Sensitivities are more difficult to figure out.

I'm not assuming either one. Whatever bothers him, should be eliminated regardless of how it was tested. He's suffering. That needs to stop somehow. Naming it allergy or sensitivity won't help him feel better.

Don’t “maybe” a GI. RUN to that GI as fast as you can!!!

Sorry for being harsh, but someone in my family had these symptoms and it turned out to be something very serious. Unfortunately it was caught too late and he’s not with us anymore.

I apologize again for being so harsh.
