After seeing people in shul wearing UGGS, I want to make everyone aware that UGGS are leather & may not be worn on yom kippur & Tisha b'av.

Isn't suede leather?. Side note ..I check my uggs for shatnez. Bec they have wool lining

They are suede leather. Suede is the underside of leather.

When I took my slippers to check for shatnez the man said that uggs are not shatnez
As of 1 year ago don’t know if it changed since

Suade is leather. All UGGS are leather (as per UGGS customer service.)
I think for next year, notices need to be put in community circulars.

As per UGGS customer service, all their footwear have leather in them.

it says sheepskin which I assume is the furry part (collar and lining) is sheepskin leather? In that case any wool sweater can also be problematic? I thought leather is a highly refined part of the skin not a hairy material
