Where I live Neila is 10 minutes before candlelighting. I make sure to light early, which you are supposed to do Erev YK. |

I usually go to Shul and find it uplifting. I stayed at home this Yom Kippur. My children are also grown and the house was quiet. I cried my heart out in a way I would never have had I been in Shul, no matter how inspiring the davening. It was me and HaShem together for an entire day without any distractions. I feel very cleansed.
