As recommended by my therapist, I want to give some type of lessons for my 10 year old dd to build her confidence.
She's interested in pottery, hair styling, art and baking.
I see advertised in the local papers Sunday classes, but they're usually large groups and more geared for mothers who just want to send their bored kids out for a bit and have some fun.
I really want my daughter to learn a skill. I would arrange a group of 5 or so girls if I can find someone to teach them.
We live in Williamsburg.
If anyone has any leads, please let me know.
Thank you!

Does it necessarily have to be sessions?
When I was that age my mother was advised the same for me. She bought me cake decorating magazines and equipment. A book on basic marzipan shaping/modelling different animals etc and she helped me learn on my own.
It was perfect for me. Till this day I love baking and decorating trending cakes. It really built my confidence.

Thanks for the suggestion.
A while ago, she did bake every Sunday and just came to me for guidance when she was stuck. I was glad she was doing it, but then she became bored. Maybe with her own equipment and books she’ll feel more like it’s her project.
I’ll definitely ask her if that speaks to her.

Call your local agency, Hamaspik or yeled or ask someone who has hcbs and ask for names of cfass providers. They teach skills so they might charge more per hour
