I figured out how to disable Whatsapp status on my Whatsapp! Now I don't have to scroll mindlessly through everyone's annoying updates wasting hours of my time
Here's how you do it on an Android device.
Go to settings
Go to whatsapp icon
Click on permissions
Then click on contacts.
Click on 'don't allow.'
If you're in the mood of scrolling and don't mind a distraction you can always click back on 'allow'

I tested this out and now can't get my status back!!! After giving permission to contacts again

You'll only see new ones once you switch it back on.

I figured it out too. When you don't click on statuses, you'll never have to see one again!

Also great idea but doesn't work for me because I get curious every time there's a green circle indicating new status update

You can also mute the ones you don't want to see on a daily basis!!

Now this is helpful! thx for sharing -
some filters can also turn them off on ur phone. and if you want to see, if your whatsapp is linked to ur computer, you can see it there when you check it.
