I was wondering if anyone could provide any insight into how many schools I need to apply to? We are looking into RYNJ and I was wondering if we are supposed to apply to another school as backup. My child will be entering nursery for 2025-2026.

I would apply to 2 just in case but North Jersey is nothing like Lakewood or Monsey. Unless there’s some real issue it’s highly unlikely that you won’t get into RYNJ. If you’re more right wing apply to YNJ and YBH if more modern YNJ and Noam.

The elementary schools in northern NJ really aren't hard to get into, though of course don't put all your eggs in one basket. High School is a different story unfortunately.
