Orzo is a form of pasta.

What do you mean by healthier? There is whole wheat orzo if that is your criteria.

Also most recipes can be modified to use a healthier grain instead of orzo if that is what you mean. It would depend on the specfific recipe

Maybe it doesn't exist
Just asking

Nothing exact but if it's to eat with something else and not its own dish, maybe riced cauliflower?

Quinoa, farro, riced cauliflower, whole wheat orzo, all are better choices than plain white orzo. None have exactly the same texture. You’ll have to experiment and see which goes over best with your family/guests. I have family members who doesn’t like quinoa but if I use farro or whole wheat orzo they won’t mind. Riced cauliflower is by far your best choice but doesn’t go over well in my house.

Bulgar is also wheat, not so different than pasta. It's cracked wheat that's been precooked and you just need to soak it to soften it.

Bulgur is a whole grain made from wheat. It's very healthy and delicious.

How about millet. It's not similar but whatever you do with orzo can be done with millet and it has a wholesome crunch

I also say bulgur! It's yum, so much more pasta-y than quinoa. My picky kids can't get enough of it
