I know I need to make boundaries with her and just tell her to lay off... But it's easier said than done.

The only explanation I can think of is that she or someone she knows started a tights company. Then a huge batch of tights that was supposed to be black somehow ended up turning out green. And now she has all this inventory to clear out and she's trying to turn it into a fashion trend.

Ha. I originally posted anoymously and cheated to try and get green but it didn't work (I deleted and reposted and got Amber, Chestnut, Antiquewhite...)

Be strong, stick to your guns. I wonder if your so-called friend has your best interests at heart. No, green tights will not bring out your green eyes because they're too far away from your face. A green blouse, yes; green hosiery, no. And unless the green tights are a perfect and I do mean perfect match to whatever else you're wearing, they will look dreadful.

I suspect she's either pulling your leg (hee, hee) or had something not nice planned for you should you show up looking like the Jolly Green Giant, unless it's Purim and that's your costume.

Your coworker is just weird and you should give her nagging the attention it deserves, which is none.

I can totally see green tights come into style. Imagine, dark green ribbed sweater tights with brown, maroon, grey and forest green, taupe outfits. knits and plaids and argyles and cable knits…. It’s not at all far fetched. My fashion bone is getting excited! Who knows maybe the workmate knows something we don’t…. Be careful she might still have the last laugh.
