I hope this question doesn’t come off as offensive.

I work in downtown Manhattan and went to a clothing store to find something for yt. A group of chassidish ladies were there and they all had on skirts that I haven’t been able to find anywhere.

One of the skirts was a straight type of skirt but the quality looked really good, it was non-clingy.

The other was a pleated skirt, but a heavy kind of pleated skirt, if that makes sense (kind of like a uniform skirt).

And another skirt was a flare skirt. The material looked similar to the straight skirt, just a different cut.

Where oh where can I get these skirts from? I figured it might be weird to walk up to them and ask TMI I’ve looked at all the in Jewish brands and none have the kind of skirts these ladies were wearing.

S & W Ladies Wear. They have stores in Boro Park and Williamsburg (I think they may have recently opened in Lakewood).

S&W is an expensive store. Just warning you so your eyes don't pop out at the price tag especially if you're buying 3 skirts.

Check out Tauber's while you're there, I like their skirts most.

Thanks for the warning. Maybe that store will be the last on the list to visit. Hopefully the other suggestions aren’t as expensive and I can get at least one skirt.

The hosiery stores in Boro park sell the heavy pleated style you saw that looks uniform-like. It’s a great everyday wear. I was thrilled when someone told me where to get it too.
Clover in Boro park has good aline skirts and long home skirts and shabbos skirts, just for some reason they don’t come lined which is annoying to me so I take to the cleaners to put a lining in so they don’t stick to my legs while walking.
Estees also has skirts. And Rebecca’s is a good store in Boro park too.
Enjoy and hatzlacha!

Most Chassidish clothing stores carry these types of skirts
Green Tag, Pleats, Match A Head, Monarch, Robe Gallery are all worth checking out, depending on the area you happen to be in
