where any why is this coming from my dd is already 7 and she makes scary faces that make baby cry and also hurts her regular pinches and smacks it obv doesn't work to tell her we don't hurt baby. duh she knows that not sure how to handle this

You need to come down harder on her. Your baby shouldn’t suffer because you’re afraid of hurting the 7 year old.

Is she neurotypical and relates to peers and people in a normal way?
What she's doing is terrible and absolutely not normal or age appropriate.
She needs consequences.
And probably more attention.
You have an achrayus to keep your baby safe.
