It takes more work to mix it in the pan, than to use a mixing bowl and big spoon or even a hand mixer (and if you rinse right away, it's not hard to wash)
You get batter up the sides of the pan too which burns on.
Also don't find that they taste the best.
Just me?

I hate the taste of all “leave chicken and vegetables in the crock pot all day” recipes. Yuck.

Same! Also the one pot pasta recipes where you add all ingredients at the same time, as opposed to boiling the pasta in water first. The texture is off.
There's a reason for the classic way of cooking these things.
And I'm really really not an fancy cook in any way

Ok so don't do it. I'm not picky and sometimes I don't have time for traditional cooking

Sure of course anyone can feel free to make things how they want! It's just that every once in a while I'll cave and try whatever shortcut recipe everyone is raving about how it's soooo easy and tastes soooo good and all their kids ate it, and I'm always let down by how things come out

I see the baking recipes as one bowl recipes and I do it in my mixing bowl, then pour it into the 9x13 after mixing.

Agree I don't mix in the pan either. It's easier to mix in a bowl

Bowls I don’t mind.
I prefer mixing in bags…
I hate taking out mixer. Even a hand mixer. I try to only make recipes mix by hand. One bowl.
The 9x13 recipes work best if you spray pan first with pan.
But I prefer tripling in a bowl. Line pans with parchment. Bake. Then stack parchment with cake in one 9x13 and freeze like that.

And here I thought I must be the only one.
Regarding 9x13 recipes too.

Idk how people use aluminum pans still they’re so toxic. What’s wrong with Pyrex?

I don't mix in a 9x13.
I mix in a bag pour it into pan and throw the bag out
Usually only do this on erev shabbos . Works well for kugels and cakes

Same!
The shape of the 9x13 is awkward to mix with. A bowl takes much faster. I appreciate the simple recipes and I make them in a bowl and then pour into the pan.
Im also team - everything in a crockpot tastes like cholent.
The pasta recipes that are cooked in their own sauce taste gummy. Whenever I try it, my kids notice right away.

After I had a Pyrex dish shatter suddenly with little couscous balls rolling all over my hot oven, why would I want to take the risk of it ever happening again? Rather stick with my disposable, no-need-to-clean pans. Any alternatives?

I’ve never tried that! It mixes well enough and not too much sticks to the bag I guess? Maybe I’ll try that with some of my yt baking!

Yes this! I don't like the taste of crockpot food. (I love the instant pot, yes I'm a picky eater).

I found with the crockpot any longer the 6 hours tastes like cholent. I went back to using it on days someone can switch if off around 3pm.
