When I asked my rabbi about uncovering in my house, he didn’t ask me about other things I’ve tried, or tell me to do anything else first. Could be there might be a difference between uncovering at home vs. outside, but I didn’t ask for outside. It happens to be I have very thick, mid back length hair, and I cut it every time I get a REALLY bad migraine. Tichels and pre-tides don’t help because they put pressure on my necks and the base of my head.

Not sure why this got a hug, I’m asking seriously. Would the standard for a BT be different? I was under the impression that we all have the same obligation.

Have you tried something simple for migraines like magnesium supplements? They work for me 💯

I only wear light tichels including at work (not jewish workplace) bec I get headaches from sheitals. I've never asked for a heter not to cover, I would feel so uncomfortable not to cover my hair.
There are lots of migraine treatments eg botox, medicine etc without uncovering your hair.

I don't believe that a Rav will just give you a heter to uncover before trying all other options. It really is a last resort for debilitating migraines that keep one from functioning.

Don’t be so Judgmental. Maybe cutting her hair will cause shalom bayis issues. My dd was given a heter to use minimal covering.

So I don't wear one. I wear very lightweight scarves with a loose knot or elastic. Or a baseball cap which I find very comfortable.

I cover at home in front of "men I could be married to" (non close family but includes even my uncle), but would it's one of the reasons it's hard for me to host, be constantly covered, and in a trouble I'd use the heter to uncover at home in front of a man I knew wouldn't get it like the non Jewish plumber

No problem. Because she's coming from a completely non-religious background. You really can't go from 0-613 in an instant, and people generally take it step by step. It could be the person decides to work on keeping Shabbos right now, covering knees will not be something they're working on. And that's ok, because they're doing what they can, which is all hashem wants from us. So the person I know was originally not covering her hair at all, but became frum and experienced horrible migraines when she tried wearing a wig. I never really got into the topic with her. It could be someone else on this thread!
