If you are insistent on staying in the community you are in and sending to these schools, then this smartphone rule seems to be across the board. I mainly have this phone to keep in touch with my non jewish family and send pictures of my kids to them
I think my husband explained the situation but the principals response wasn't so clear. We'll reach out to the new school if the rav says its ok
