Grand Hyatt Baha Mar vs. Playa del Carmen

Anyone who has been to both the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar and Playa del Carmen, how do they compare?
We went to Baha Mar last year. It was incredible. We had an amazing time. I'd love to go back but my husband would like to try something new. He would love to go to Playa but I've heard mixed reviews. First off, do we need to worry about the water in the resort, like brushing our teeth with bottled water? Second, I've heard people complain about the loud music at all hours near the hotel. Should I be concerned about that? Any other info about Playa? Thanks

Loved bahamar way better than playa
So much more to see.. huge resort
Grand Hyatt playa only has like one big pool ..

Baha Mar is an all in one resort. They have it all. However it’s also very crowded.
Playa, has way less within the resort but you have more options if you feel like going around in Playa and Cancun. Both food and attractions. Not so much beach… the beaches in most of playa are pretty bad.
