Do you go all out with makeup knowing that it's going to look pretty terrible by the 3rd day or do you play it safe and go more subtle?

I feel like this can be a good parable for something but can't think of anything:)

Regular.
But I don't get the extreme fear of being seen without makeup in general.

Regular. I don’t think it looks terrible by the third day. My foundation may have mostly faded or rubbed in, but it just looks a bit more natural. Eyeliner sometimes disappears. Lipstick sometimes cracks. But my eyeshadow, mascara, and face still look pretty good.

How do u get your lips to stay good? By me the color is there but my lips dry out so much that it just looks cracked and gross. Is there any way to moisturize them over YT?

My face feels horrible if I wear makeup over yom tov or overnight, so I don't wear makeup on yom tov. I'm not afraid to go out without makeup.

I go heavy-ish on my eyes and eyebrows but leave my skin and lips completely clear. (Not good for my skin to have so much makeup on for so long)

Same. Unless I have a simcha and really want to look made up I never wear makeup Shabbos or yom tov. BH clear, soft skin is worth it to me.

I use primer and urban decay setting spray
Estée Lauder double wear, I put concealer on my eyes so the shadow sticks better.

Honestly I think it’s just my skin type I don’t really do anything different.

I don't wear face makeup - my skin is dry and sucks it all up it feels gross by the 3rd day.
I put on eye makeup and lipstick and however long it lasts, it lasts.

I use a cheek gel stain and waterproof mascara, which usually last at least through day 2. The rest (eyeshadow, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil), I put on normally and it fades by morning #2. I don't wear foundation normally, and wear a very subtle pinky nude lipstick. I used to use a Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner and it lasted beautifully but I became allergic to it. Otherwise, I recommend it.
