You don't need a prescription but speak to a Rav about which kind to use.
You might get some funny looks and they only sell it in non-chareidi area pharmacies. Try Superpharm, I think we've gotten from there.

I've gotten at a Meuhedet Pharmacy and super pharm. No Rx necessary.
I don't remember what kind they had, it's been a few years.

There are many frum people who import them from France and sell them from their house, I can't remember where I got mine from a few yrs ago.
Generally people don't pass on who they got it from.
I think they advertise it as shalom bayit pills...

Ah ok if this is going to have to be a conversation with a pharmacist I definitely would love to know more before I go. Can anyone else chime in with what they've used here?
Checked in with our rav here about using it already and he gave us a thumbs up without specifying anything about types.

Wow definitely wouldn't have known that unless you told me, thanks. Why do they need to import it - is it better than what they generally sell here?

Ask your Rav, they usually know to direct you to people who sell it from home. When I checked a few years ago, a pharmacy in my (really chareidi) neighborhood sold VCF, but it becomes expensive after a bit, and the ones who sell from home are much cheaper.
