I'm a Kallah and need to make a good impression 2 weeks before my wedding in Waterbury CT but my feet hurt walking in my nice dress boots that I bought in Israel for rainy weather and while they look nice in shul, I will need to put sneakers on after shul to wear on the way to meals and to where I'll be staying until my wedding day, which is not a short walk. I can get blisters so I sometimes tape up the callouses, is that allowed or should I do it before I start and just leave the tape on til after Shabbat is over?
Also, my fiance doesn't want me to use a backpack to carry my nice boots in says I should carry a bag which is what he always does when bringing food or gifts for Shabbos.

It's yontiff and you can carry. I don't see what the issue is. However, I also think that it's unwise to risk hurting your feet right before your wedding, since you want to be able to stand and dance as a kallah. Maybe you should find more comfortable shoes to wear in shul. People are routinely pairing nicer sneakers with skirts and dresses.

Please do not hurt your feet before the wedding!

Like the nicer sneakers idea- they’re totally acceptable now, especially if you’ll be walking to your host

I've rethought my answer about the bag because I probably answered too quickly. It is yontiff and you can carry. However, I'm wondering if your Chusen is uncomfortable with your carrying a backpack because it feels too much like a weekday purse or something that would not be appropriate for shul. Since you are spending time together right before your wedding and it's not a good time for conflict, perhaps you should compromise with either a nicer shopping bag or even an open canvas tote. I've seen plenty of women with those and they are often given out from businesses, so you might have one. In the alternative, Amazon sells them at reasonable prices (you could even get one that says "Bride"!) You have plenty of other lower key times to work out the bag issue in the future. However, I am sticking with my advice to protect your feet and wear comfortable shoes. Use the bag for anything else you need.

I think any generic tote bag is fine. But you can always buy something like this
