I recently heard that kitchen sponges store lots of bacteria because they are absorbent and can spread bad bacteria to your dishes. What are good kitchen sponges for dishes that don’t hold so much bacteria?

Sponges replaced often. Gotta think of them as disposable.

Sometimes I put my sponges in the dishwasher to sterilize them.
A dishbrush may have a little less bacteria and can be used on shabbos.

You can nuke a wet sponge in the microwave till it's hot. (Don't let it dry out in thete or it can catch fire.)
