until what age do you have your boys wear chilrens place girl ponte jeggings for weekday? until what age can they pass as shabbos pants?

Never used them as shabbos pants but my boy wore them to school through pre1a (aged 5)

And how does the sizing run. My son wears a 3t in lil legs Shabbos pants, do I order him a 3t in the leggings or size down. Other non Jew brands he's a 2t sometimes

My boys 2nd and 3rd grade wear them to school as uniform pants. So do many of their classmates. They look like regular pants on my kids
