3 day YT -- keeping it cool

So if you have split AC units, how do you you keep it comfortable for a two or a three day YT? The timer the AC comes with is only good for one next day programming, so you can't turn it on and off at different times for more than one day in advance.

Do you just keep the AC on 74 (or whatever) for the entire duration of YT?
Or do you have a special smart timer / thermostat installed on your AC units that allows you to program it separately for each day as needed?
I am trying to figure it out, but I am not so tech savvy, and DH doesn't seem to get it right, so I would like to be proactive before YT so it's not a last minute stress.

I have a special timer that my electrician installed for the AC. The AC on the main floor goes off at 11 PM and back on at 7 AM.
