Raw peeling skin in folds?

few week old baby with peeling skin, moist looking, and kind of white peeling but reddened skin...noticed when changing diaper. do I put diaper cream? aquafor? baby powder? need to see dr?

Sounds normal to me. Newborn skin peels, as they get used to being in open air.

The peeling is normal, but if it's red and raw, that would be a possible fungal infection and would require anti fungal cream. Air out as much as possible. Dry well after a bath. Apply diaper rash paste (not ointment) to protect the skin.

Very common because of the trapped moisture. Dry it well after baths and diaper changes, then apply diaper cream. Once it’s more healed, I make it a habit to put baby powder in the creases after each diaper when they are newborns.
