I drink 1 cup a day but I drink it every. single.day. I will be staying overnight with a relative who I can guarantee doesn't drink brewed coffee and I want to avoid making her feel badly. My plan is to bring some brewed coffee with me and drink it in my room, but I am not sure what kind of receptacle to put it in. (In similar situations I used to take it in one of my kids sippy cups many years ago, but we don't have any sippies anymore.)

Any container with a screw cap. Double bag.
I use my old pumping containers for traveling with milk/liquids

I bring individual serving of nescafe instant coffee with 2 sugar cubes and a creamer, tucked into a travel mug. All you need is hot water and BAM. Caffeine goodness. Worked traveling all over the world.

If OP only drinks brewed coffee I doubt Nescafé will do the trick. As someone who strongly prefers brewed coffee as well the only instant coffee that I can tolerate is Starbucks via

I’ve definitely used tap water to make it. Also Trader Joe cold brew is quite excellent and is intended to be used with cold water

Any decent thermos should work for that.
