My under 3 year old and I were walking in the dark…
“Mommy I don’t want this on my foot- take it off, take it away…I don’t want to stand on it…”
I pick up her shoes trying to see what’s beneath it..and ask what is it…
“ my shadow- take it away”

Dd3, shes so tiny and mainstream yiddish speaking so I found it adorable when she showed me that "look, my 2 bedrails (showed) are 'similar' " its a mature word, I think

(she slept on a bunkbed and one side had full rail while the other had 3/4

Yes, I love when little kids use mature language!

My then almost-3 yrs old tiny kiddo told me, when I was unhappy about something going wrong, "Mommy, we will manage!"

She's also the one who, when I put a pony in her hair to keep it back while she brushed her teeth, saying that I'll take it back out before she goes to bed, told me "I bet that you won't!" Where did she learn "I bet!"

We were sitting in traffic one day, I was quietly spacing out waiting for things to start going again, and she told me, "When Totty drives, he says "Come ON! Why aren't they MOVING!", emphasizing the words the way he would. I love how they pick up on everything Very Happy

We walked past a man working next door. My 4 year old asked “should I say hi to him?”

I shook my head no. He asked- out loud of course- “is he a bad guy?”

3 year old on way to orientation:
I don't want to go to school this year. I told her everybody goes to school and she's going to have a lot of fun. She tells me, I already went to school last year. Why do I have to go again. Lol

There were lots of toys out, I told Dd age 4 that I’ll pack away the legos and she’ll do the clics. I thought I was done but then Dd comes to me and says ‘I don’t want to embarrass you but you left out a piece’.

Reminds me of my 4 yr old, I was getting her ready to take her to her school's nit checking day, I reminded her she had them come by all year last year, she asked "Oh, were those the bubbies who put the pencils in my hair?" I said, "Yeah, and it didn't hurt, right?" She said, "Well, they sometimes hurt a little. But don't tell them that! I don't want to hurt their feelings!"
