I think in her head she’s gonna be watching the kids the whole time so why need a gate and also her kids didn’t have a gate around the pool and they were fine…. Clearly I don’t agree with this logic and try not to go there

Please listen to your common sense and mothers heart
Obviously your motherinlaw is missing hers
And don't leave your kids there !!!
