You forgot the option of snowsuit with bunting bag
With one of my kids I did a lot of walking on winter, I would put him in a snowsuit then zipper up the bunting bag over him. I found a blanket just fell off, while the bunting bag staid on.
I don't remember the brand, I did get it as a present.

Bunting are the greatest invention!
Gone are the days of all the blankets we lost across town. We do a jacket and hat with bunting. I keep a snowsuit accessible for those few absolutely frigid days . On those few days it's snowsuit and bunting

I loved my 7am brand bunting, with toddler zipper extensions.
I have now passed it on to my sister in law. It was very, very expensive, but we got 12+ years out of it and counting.
