Im looking for an easy recipe for cooked sliced pears, or cooked whole small pears, with very basic ingredients.

Most recipes start with raw fruit.

What I would suggest is that you look at recipes for baked pears - many of them are simple like baked apples but might be embellished with brown sugar, honey, nuts or chocolate.

Just heat up the pears with the other ingredients until they meld together and serve.

Thanks all, I was looking for very quick and simple (takes long enough to peel and core the pears)

A Balebusta friend said she just cooks pears in grape juice for color, no water), I added water, so my pears arent that pink and a little honey. They look nice and taste good.
