Anyone know of a park with picnic tables near Cherry crest that would be ideal to eat supper. Longs park is 25 minutes away and we'd rather not drive that far.

Just curious why don't ppl coming all the way to Lancaster make more of a focus on seeing Amish ppl and speaking to them? Most ppl go to Dutch Wonderland which is an amusement park which u can do anywhere!
I stayed near Amish farms when I went and found their lifestyle fascinating.

We did am Amish farm tour with young kids. They didn’t find it so interesting (maybe the animals but not listening to the tour guide). The adults found it fascinating but when going with young kids, I felt gotta keep up with them. The trip was for my kids, not a vacation for dh and myself.
The change of scenery does wonders for my kids. Could’ve gone to a farm near where we live but chose to take them to a different part of the country where they get to see something new.
When they grow up we can go culture and lifestyle exploring as a family trip…

Does anyone know if there's a place to buy kosher milk anywhere? I left my baby's milk at home.

I don’t have ideas for tonight, but tomorrow call kreider farms and ask them if they sell pride of the farm- they make it there
Is the yeshiva still there? They have a small store

When you take the kreider farm tour they tell you that all kreider farm brand milk is all cholov Yisroel but they don’t always market it that way by writing it on the bottle. it has regular OU

You can get milk from the shul. Or from the small canteen behind the shul.

Lancaster kosher by the shul has a mini mart that’s open 24 hours. They might have

Is that the place where you take what you need and leave money?

Yes there’s a zelle address where you could send the money. Or you could pay the person behind the counter by the takeout (if it’s still open).

Looking into Lancaster for Chol hamoid. Are there easily accessible minyanim? What about a sukka? We would bring along our own food and a portable outdoor grill. Are there places we can grill?

Thanks

Probably the Lancaster shul. They are open all year round. Call them. It’s the type that they would have a sukkah.

I was wondering the same thing. I see that there's a Chabad there. Has anyone ever been there/davened at their shul? Does anyone know the name of the Yeshiva/Shul that has a minyan in the summer?
Also, would it be too cold to do outdoor activities there now?
Thanks!!

I would like to visit Amish town. Can anyone recommend the second best place to cherry crest farm? What’s a must to cover when you go? Kids ages 3-20.

Which buggy ride is the most interesting? AAA buggy rides, Aron and Jessica’s buggy rides or Abe’s buggy rides?
