Shabbos. Does not need to be fancy.
Both my father and nephew made a siyum hashas (different times). We all wore shabbos clothing. It's a huge simcha/event.

Can you just text your aunt and see what she wants people to wear? With close family, hopefully it's not awkward. I wouldn't really care what is more typical, I would just want to do whatever my aunt and uncle prefer.
