Please help! If anyone can post links or describe what type of dress/ gown would be appropriate.... It's hard to dress teen girls in general, I feel like this is way out of my league, and I don't know where to start.

To an uncle's wedding they wear a gown. I'm not sure where you're located but either go to a gemach or buy online or rent.
Brothers bar Mitzvah. It really depends what you're doing. My daughter wore shabbos to weekday event and Long dress Friday night and Shabbos Day a Shabbos dress.

If you’re in Brooklyn many local stores sell gowns. You can go in and see if there’s anything you like. Rentals cost about the same if not more. You can buy and use for both occasions.

Where I live, teen girls dress no differently than sisters/SILs at their Uncle's wedding. My daughter has two teen nieces thru marriage, and they wore gowns that matched their mother, aunts, etc....
Where are you located? That might make a difference, plus people can suggest local places to check out.
