Can't believe I'm posting this. Where can I buy jumbo glue sticks that won't break the bank? They seem to be 3$ a piece on amazon, and walmart and target don't seem to have them. I need a bunch for my kids school supplies (it specifies jumbo- not giant). Could also be an actual store in the lakewood area. Would like elmers brand- if it makes sense they are this price- I'll just pay it. Just feel funny spending close to 20$ on glue for one kid

Is $20 for 9 better?

Personally, I'd just order giant. It's glue, for crying out loud!

This is 3.49 but 40% off for labor day.

Maybe split this with a few other parents?

(Looks like staples isn't so consistent about names and sizes. Not quite sure which one is the jumbo one after all this. Imo just buy glue sticks. I really can't imagine the teacher caring!!)

Sue me, but I've been known to just buy regular and supply double the amount. Instead of 5 jumbo, I sent 10 regular.
My kids were fine 😁

Me too. And I only start the year with each kid getting a couple regular sized ones and then replacing as needed. Been doing it for years with no complaints .

Haha, same. And my kids still came home with two unused sticks at the end of last year. All good.

I also use my judgment with school supplies (like I will buy whatever brand markers is cheapest and not crayola). Similarly I have sent small glue sticks instead of jumbo, a 1 inch binder instead of a 1/2 inch binder if that’s what’s available. My kids have very rarely had teachers who requested that I send the right thing. I try to get as similar as possible but if one binder is $1 at the dollar store and the other is $5…

I'm picky with markers because I want them to last if I'm trying to save money... But Mondo Llama from Target works well (better than RoseArt).
I've told parents that the measurements of binders is a guide to know how much space you need in it but no one is measuring if it's 1.5" or 2"...

I know at a preschool age the markers will never last regardless, my kids use them to strongly . As they get older I buy more expensive if needed .

Target has the big glue sticks for under a dollar each in a three pack. Staples has a three pack for four dollars.

Ah, my kids' school supplies the preschool markers, etc so I'm only buying for older kids anyway. 😉

I bought a box like this a couple of years ago, if you have a few kids who will each need to bring in three glue sticks for a few years in a row you’ll use it up eventually.

Then again I’m the type of person to stock up on everything. I have a closet with 20 packs of folders, a set of 12 cheap smocks, a case of notebooks, a dozen good pink erasers. Etc etc

I once stocked up on glue sticks in bulk but they ended up drying out a few years down the line, not sure if that was a fluke...

And I won’t buy anything but crayola. Other brands stain horribly
