Do they still offer this diagnosis rather than as ASD diagnosis? Why, why not?
Does a neurologist diagnosis this with recommendations from therapists?

I don't believe pervasive developmental disorder is used anymore.
It was removed from the DSM so it can't be reimbursed by insurance anymore. That makes it useless. Assuming you're in the USA.
PDD now stands for something else. ASD is used as a catch-all for everything right now
