I’m chassidish and found these responses hilarious. I wish she’d been allowed to continue going, I was wondering what else was coming….

In hotels, it's just the opposite, maybe in their homes they want everything and everyone to be perfect, I found in hotels people just let the kids loose. Much more lax. Let the guard down. As long as it's not their house.
Important things wear sock/tights and cover hair in shul.
No pants for women.
Otherwise fine.
Family seating might have mechitzos around family tables or if it's a shabbaton from organization you might one side ladies and one side men seating by meals and by lectures/entertainment.
Swimming you might want to do more cover up than just plain bathing suit.
Zmanim might be different.

I generally appreciate humor but not on the cheshbon of mocking others. Especially when your examples are completely false.

I'm also at a chassidish hotel for shabbos. Wonder if it's the same!
I'm just being friendly and nice. Mindful of the men's vs women's spaces. And did a Walmart run for food.
My preference is different than what is offered! Other than that, just acting as I normally do.

I almost regret not being by this Shabbos. I love meeting people from different places who have different styles and I just did a target run so I have a bunch of extra deodorant lying around. A pity.
Motorcycle, it’s very easy to miss sarcasm in text. Next time wait a bit and let the unfunny answers show up first 😉

I was at a chassidish hotel during the week this week (the Melour in Tannersville) - it was beautiful (we stayed in a new wing) and the food was great. I had a beautiful porch that I enjoyed very much. I also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I was wondering what I would do if I stayed over Shabbos. I might be bored! I think you need to make friends and have people to talk to, even if they are chassidish. Also bring lots of reading material and snacks (just like on a Shabbos in the city). You can take walks on the road (it has a sidewalk) but be mindful that there probably isn’t an eruv once you leave the hotel grounds.

They try to stick to traditional foods, but with being upscale gourmet and keeping with trends they will try to plate it or do it with a twist to present more fancy and might add newer fad items to the traditional fare. So instead of just potato kugel, farfel, sweet carrots and chicken bottom they might have Capon, stuffed with farfel, twon toned ind round kugglette and glazed whole carrots in diff colors let say. Or add to the toamehu, beef tacos or mini beef pizzas rounds.....
They might upgrade salads to newer type of salads.
Every program is diff depending on the price paid.
It's definitely diff fare than mainstream that's not chassidish.
I was years ago by mainstream one, and they served Tuna, for Friday lunch and not toamehu type of chassidish food. Maybe it was more American. Shabbos meals didn't have all traditional shabbos fare, some American type, like they served gefilte fish but main course was chicken potatoes and green beans instead of kugel. Shabbos lunch was fish, then meatballs and Spaghetti and cholent. I guess they were catering to a mixed crowd.
The chassidish Hungarian have a certain way of cooking flavorful and plentiful. So food in these programs shouldn't be a problem. It's just if someone is used to different type of food and fare, then they might not find food they are used to, like a diff poster posted, especially if kids are picky and they wouldn't taste new foods, and want what they know. I think it's a real pity though, if you pay so much money, to need to buy on own, and not have what to eat.

I once mistakenly went to chassidish crowd hotel. The one thing that really mattered was davening times for men. It’s apparently very different and can be problematic for other minhagim.

Chassidim have diff timing that's OK to daven, and it's not only the shleppers that wake late. For other people, who hold stricter or other zmanim, it's a problem when they don't have a Minyan when they want to daven
