It's a very warm school. They really care about each and every child. As the above poster said is somewhat of a mix, yeshivish leaning. Some kids fathers are out working and others are in yeshiva, but most fathers started out in yeshiva. As far as academics, this is my only school age child so I don't know what to compare it to. Overall we are very happy.

He gives up to 15 min of kriah a night and gives points for prizes based on the amount of time. My ds was all into getting the max amount of points. If your ds is not that into it it won't be so bad. The other parts of the homework were not that bad.
Rabbi S was also an amazing rebbi.

We are super thrilled with CBY for our sons! Itโs a warm, happy environment for the boys. Strong emphasis on learning skills (Kriya, Rashi letters) that will stand the test of time. No bullying tolerated. Great Hebrew and general studies curriculum. Staff is involved in your kids development, no one falls between the cracks. They translate into yiddish but there isnโt a strong emphasis on the kids knowing it. Most kids get a good grasp of Yiddish anyway bec they teach well. Couldnโt be happier.
