I want to share a nice idea I recently heard. Perhaps this will resonate for some people.
We have heard that "Yeshuas Hashem K'heref Ayin" , Hashem' salvation is like the blink of an eye. We tell this to people in need of a yeshua, assuring them that even if things seem bleak now, it can turn around in a split second.
I heard the following question from someone who quoted Rav Yisroel Reisman.
He pointed out that every day in davening , in the amida, we say that Hashem is "Matzmiach Yeshua" (the second time we say Matzmiach Keren Yeshua". ) Matzmiach means that He causes the yeshua to sprout.
On the face of it, it seems like a contradiction. Which one is it? Does the salvation come suddenly, like the blink of an eye? Or is the yeshua planted in advance and it grows and flourishes slowly?
Rabbi Reisman says that both are true at the same time.
To us mortals, since we are very shortsighted, when we see the salvation, it seems sudden.
But sometimes we can see that the seeds that caused our salvation was actually planted a long tome before.
A person unfamiliar with farming may look at the first shoots sprouting from the ground as a miracle. One day there's nothing there, and the next day, there is the beginning of the crop! But the farmer understands that the seeds were planted months earlier. And although the earth covered over all the progress, underneath the visible part, the seed had disintegrated and starting growing roots. The shoots peeking up is only the visible part of the growth. But it had started flourishing way before.
And sometimes we can see this in our own lives. We are going through a realy hard challenge. We can't see how things will get better. But they do, and we feel Hashem's salvation. And from that point, we can sometimes look back and see clearly how the things we thought were bad for us actually were planting the seeds to the yeshua.
