I bought in 2016. We got lucky. It’s worth over double now (maybe even triple)

Are there a bunch of zeros being left off the poll? Those sound like cc debt or personal loans. Not mortgages

My mortgage + taxes + insurance is about $1,500 a month. (so about 18K a year)
We make combined about $250k a year, but a huge chunk of it goes to tuition (at this point we don't have any tuition breaks as we are trying to pay full tuition if we can)

About $2k a month, and our monthly net pay is about 9k. But we're paying about 5k a month in tuition, so that's what's killing us.

Mortgage is 3085. Property tax and insurance are another ~700/month. Take home around $11k (pre-tax around 17k 😞). Very much living paycheque to paycheque.

Also, how much do you earn montly? |
Poll has numbers but no unit ($£₪€¥ / month?)
It is recommended to pay 25% - 30% of your income on mortgage/rent, however I believe in the Jewish world and in todays climate, I suspect it is on average 50% for new home buyers at this point.

Can I ask what you do that your income is so high - even post taxes?

about $2100 a month for a 15 year mortgage at 2.5%. Baruch Hashem.
We bring in about $11,000 a month after taxes and deductions.
Mortgage is not our biggest expense. Tuition is. We pay more than double our mortgage in tuition.

Mortgage is $1,900 including taxes and insurance.
Take home pay is $4K per month.
It's finally less than 50% of my net income!
Not easy

Tuition is higher than the mortgage per month. Bh we bought when we were young and my house has tripled in value.
